At Mary Kay’s Country Diner, our mission is to provide excellent food at a great value, served by a friendly staff in an environment that both draws new customers and keeps old friends coming back.
The Diner
In November 2004, Mary Kay Hardy fulfilled a long-standing dream by opening Mary Kay’s Country Diner, determined to share her amazing cooking talent with everyone and create a place that made diners feel like one of the family. Located on Hwy 96 in San Augustine, Texas, the restaurant’s menu, service and décor are designed to remind guests of “Mother’s house.”
The Owner
A native of San Augustine, Mary Kay Hardy has a great love for her hometown. Having spent many hours of her young years in the kitchen with her mother, she learned many skills, but also the enjoyment of cooking and serving good food.
Operating Hours
Open 7 days a week for Breakfast & Lunch from 6:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Open Thursday and Friday for Dinner from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
- Breakfast starts at 6 am and is available all day.
- Lunch is available from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but the buffet goes quick on Sunday thru Friday.
- New dinner hours offer Tex-Mex or Italian dinners on alternating Thursdays and steak or shrimp dinners every Friday. Regular Menu Items available for dinner as well.
